A visit (Zayarat) to Medina Munawarah

After pilgrimage, the most supreme and the greatest honour is the journey to Medina and the visit to the Holy Shrine of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).

The people who reach Mecca when there are still fifteen days for the pilgrimage to start,

They are immediately sent to Medina after Umrah.

If you are going to Medina after Hajj / Pilgrimage, then your last task in Mecca should be Tawaf-e- Vida.  But if you are going to Medina before Hajj, so while returning do not forget wearing Ihram for Umrah from Zul-Halifa (A place, nine kilometer away from Medina).

When your journey for Medina starts, Then keep reciting Darud (Remembrance of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) during the whole journey.

In the verse No. 2 of surah Hujrat of the Holy Quran, Allah Himself has taught the etiquettes of presenting oneself before prophet (Muhammad PBUH). Follow it in true letter and spirit.

O believer! Raise not your voices above the voice of the communicator of unseen (The Prophet PBUH) and speak not aloud in presence of him as you shout to one another, let your work become vain while you are unaware”

On reaching Medina, first manage a house through Mualim, the guide (who is called Dallil in Medina). Place your luggage here, take a bath, wear a nice dress and apply scent

And with great devotion and peace of heart, With Daurd-Sharif on lips, leave for Masjid-e-Nabwi (PBUH)

It is better enter in it through Bab-ul-Islam. And recite the prayer of the entry into Masjid –e- Nabwi.  And also do the intention of Aitkaf at the same time.

First come to “Raiz-ul-Jannah”. It is a place between the pulpit and holy grave of prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Here offer two rakat nawafil of Tahayat-ul-Masjid.

After these two Nawafil, go into the Tomb of respect and honor to pay respects to the Holy Shrine of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). Keep your eyes low, voice low, and pay salutations.

After your salutations, offer the salutations of your relatives, and friends who have asked you to do so before prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Then pay your respects to Hazrat Abu -Bakar (RA) and Hazrat Umar-e-Farooq (RA) respectively. Also pay humble respects to prophet (PBUH) of the compliers of this humble website.

While sitting in Masjid-e-Nabwi, resolve to do most devoutly what the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has commanded his ummah  to do, stop to do what he has forbidden.

In Masjid-e-Nabwi, “Safa” has the honor that it was here that prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to educate his followers. Hence, it is the first university of Islam

Here or in the mosque, sit wherever you find place and besides reciting the Holy Quran,

Remember all the sayings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) about the day to day routine from waking to sleeping and from birth to death.

So as long so you stay in Medina, continue paying your humble respect before the holiest shrine.

Make it your routine to visit Raiz-ul-Jannah. During your stay in Medina, consider every second the most vital. Try to offer every prayer in Masjid-Nabvi with Takbeer-e-Oolah.

Janat-Ul-Baki

The graveyard of Medina where the true followers of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) are resting.

Masjid-e-Kaba

It is the first mosque ever constructed by the Prophet (PBUH) himself.

To go to this mosque first take a bath at home. Perform ablutions. And get the reward of an Umrah by offering two Nawafil in this mosque.

Jabal-e-Uhad.

It is the place where the battle of Uhad was fought

Masjid-e-Kiblatain      

It is the place where the revelation was sent to change the Kiblah

Masjid Sita.

It is the place where the battle of Ihzab was fought.

 Before you may finely return, visit the shrine of prophet (PBUH)

 and pay your respects and salutations and say Farwell Offer two rakat Namaz and pray for the acceptance of your visit.
